Information
Who pays for home health care?
In most cases, home health care services are covered by
Medicare, Public Aid, and Private insurance programs. Our
intake specialist will evaluate your health coverage before
your first home care visit. Your benefits will be fully
explained to you.
How do I receive home health care services?
Your physician must indicate that your home care services
are medically necessary. If you are in a hospital or another
health care facility, your physician may contact your
Meridian Home Health Care Services, Inc. directly to request
care. Our team of health care professionals will work with
your doctor to develop a home treatment plan that is right
for you.
When is home care appropriate?
• Following a hospital stay
• For an illness or injury that does not require
hospitalization
• To care for an elderly family member
• While recovering from accidents, heart attacks, and
strokes
• Wound care management
• Diabetes management
